Jesus Rocks, don't you just agree =D

Remember the times when you:

were lonely, Jesus was there.
felt lost, Jesus was there.
were frustrated, Jesus was there.
were jealous, Jesus was there.
gave in to sin, Jesus was there.
were in pain, Jesus was there.
got distant from Him, Jesus was there.

were excited, Jesus was there.
were thankful, Jesus was there.
were at peace, Jesus was there.
felt relief, Jesus was there.
were happy, Jesus was there.

forgot Him, Jesus was there.

He was there.
He was always there beside you.
He was always LOVING YOU.

He still is.
He still wants you by His side.
And all eternity long, He will LOVE YOU.
Not conditional love.
It is LOVE.

Amen?
Of course =D.
Amen!

Blessing for seniors taking A'levels, from the book of Numbers

May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May the Lord let His face shine on you and be gracious to you.
May the Lord uncover His face to you and bring you peace.
--------------------------------------

Yes indeed our good Lord is gracious, merciful and always loving.
So people, do not fear for today, Today, the Lord has shown you His mercy
as he did for ages even before you were born. Always remember; to a place
the Lord has brought us, He will never abandon us.
Take shelter in the Lord and abide in His word.
Take up His yolk and follow Him,
for you will find rest for your souls. For His yolk is easy, and burden light.

Prayers Answered

author unknown

A voyaging ship was wrecked during a storm at sea and only two of the men on it were able to swim to a small, desert-like island. The two survivors, not knowing what else to do, agreed that they had no other recourse but to pray to God.

However, to find out whose prayer was more powerful, they agreed to divide the territory between them and stay on opposite sides of the island.

The first thing they prayed for was food. The next morning, the first man saw a fruit-bearing tree on his side of the land, and he was able to eat its fruit. The other man's parcel of land remained barren.

After a week, the first man was lonely and he decided to pray for a wife. The next day, another ship was wrecked, and the only survivor was a woman who swam to his side of the land. On the other side of the island, there was nothing.

So, on the next day the first man prayed for a house, clothes, more food. The next day, like magic, all of these were given to him. However, the second man still had nothing.

Finally, the first man prayed for a ship, so that he and his wife could leave the island. In the morning, he found a ship docked at his side of the island. The first man boarded the ship with his wife and decided to leave the second man on the island. He considered the other man unworthy to receive God's blessings, since none of his prayers had been answered.

As the ship was about to leave, the first man heard a Voice from Heaven booming, "Why are you leaving your companion on the island?"

"My blessings are mine alone, since I was the one who prayed for them," the first man answered. "His prayers were all unanswered and so he does not deserve anything."

"You are mistaken!" the Voice rebuked him. "He had only one prayer, which I answered. If not for that, you would not have received any of my blessings."

"Tell me," the first man asked the Voice, "What did he pray for that I should owe him anything?"

The Voice replied, "He prayed that all your prayers be answered."

For all we know, our blessings are not the fruits of our prayers alone, but those of another praying for us. "Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." James 5:16.

My prayer for you today is that all your prayers are answered.

Prayer of St. Gertrude the Great

This prayer was given to St. Gertrude the Great by Our Lord, who told St. Gertrude that 1000 souls will be released from Purgatory each time it is said. It was extended to include living sinners as well.

Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the Universal Church, those in my own home and within my own family. Amen.

The Father's Gift

A young man was getting ready to graduate from college. For many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer's showroom, and knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted.
As Graduation Day approached, the young man awaited signs that his father had purchased the car. Finally, on the morning of his graduation, his father called him into his private study. His father told him how proud he was to have such a fine son, and told him how much he loved him. He handed his son a beautifully wrapped gift box.
Curious, and somewhat disappointed, the young man opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Bible, with the young man's name embossed in gold. Angry, he rose his voice to his father and said "with all your money, you give me a Bible?" and stormed out of the house.
Many years passed and the young man was very successful in business. He had a beautiful home and wonderful family, but realised his father was very old, and thought perhaps he should go to him. He had not seen him since that graduation day.
Before he could make arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father had passed away, and willed all of his possessions to his son. He needed to come home immediately and take care of things.
When he arrived at his father's house, sudden sadness and regret filled his heart. He began to search through his father's important papers and saw the still gift-wrapped Bible, just as he had left it years ago. With tears, he opened the Bible and began to turn the pages. His father had carefully underlined a verse, Matt. 7:11, "And if ye, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Heavenly Father which is in Heaven, give to those who ask Him?"
As he read those words, a car key dropped from the back of the Bible. It had a tag with the dealer's name, the same dealer who had the sports car he had desired. On the tag was the date of his graduation, and the words PAID IN FULL.
How many times do we miss God's blessings because we can't see past our own desires?
